Waking up with Jessica Pecoraro

Have you ever wanted to simply wake-up and have your outfit already selected for you? Well now you can, kind of...
Jessica Pecoraro. Sydney based, renowned celebrity stylist whose clients range from supermodel Georgia Fowler to Delta Goodrem, has teamed up with other notable stylist Elliot Gaurnat to bridge the gap between the celebrity and everyday consumer styling experience through a new subscription based online styling platform, SELECTED. We sat down with the stylist, turned digital entrepreneur, to learn how she starts her day and the beauty products she is using on high-rotation.

Tell us about yourself and what you do for a living?

I’m a fashion and celebrity stylist and also recently launched an e-comm fashion + styling platform called SELECTED, with friend Elliot Garnaut

What does a typical morning look like for you?

I am usually woken by my daughter, Harley, around 5.45am-6am. Most days I start off with a 45min walk and then grab a coffee on my way back home. By 7.30am, I am ready for the day ahead.

Do you have any special rituals that you commit to daily? (Meditation, goal setting, drinking lemon water etc)

I'll drink a glass of water with collagen every morning before a walk and I am huge on making a list first thing in the morning to keep me on track throughout the day.

What is your version of self-care?

Pilates. I see Kirsten King at Fluidform Pilates a few times a week and since lockdown, its Fluidform at home.

Current morning skincare routine:

I have a really simple skincare routine. I use light cleaners in the morning followed by a serum and day moisturizer. For me, it's all about quick and easy steps that drive results.

Your go-to makeup look?

I am definitely a neutral makeup-look kind of girl. I love dewy skin, a bit of bronzer and mascara.

Your top 3 makeup products that are currently on high rotation?

Estèe Lauder double wear makeup, MILK mascara and Armani bronzer.

Most under-rated beauty tip?

Mixing my Estèe Lauder ANR (Advanced Night Repair)+ a drop of Drunk Elephant Sunshine Drops in with my foundation every morning, It is magic!!!

How does wellness play a role in your approach to beauty?

I definitely notice a difference in my skin when I am stressed or overworked, so taking some time out for me by doing a sheet mask while replying to emails, getting outdoors and swapping my afternoon caffeine hit to a green juice are little things that help.

Best beauty advice you ever received:

To always wash your makeup off, no matter how tired you are.

What beauty products do you always carry with you/ in your handbag?

Estèe Lauder lip oil, Chanel hand cream, any type of hand sanitiser (COVID times) Share The Base LB cream, Estèe Lauder Double Wear concealer + small mascara.
